Description: Tax parcel map of Clayton County, Georgia. The layer was derived from a variety of source maps including: deeds, subdivision plats, digital surveys, tax maps and other official land records of Clayton County. The digital parcel data was developed to the same accuracy as the 2007 orthophotographic base maps provided by the Clayton County Water Authority. This data layer provides a useful representation of the geometry and topology of tax parcels and is suitable for its intended purpose. It is not, however, meant to be used for the determination of land ownership or to be in any way a substitute for the land ownership and interest descriptions contained in individual deeds. The tax parcel layer is based on the Georgia State Plane West (FIPS 1002) coordinate system, referenced to the NAD1983 datum.
